Charming little place, where Shogo-san actually cared about my comfort. He even pre-heated my room so I wouldn't catch a chill. His advice made my trip truly unforgettable.
Oh, so sad I couldn't find a golden bathtub filled with champagne waiting for me. How disappointing!

Stayed in a charming guest house, with convenient amenities like laundry and luggage storage. Located near historical attractions, and a bus stop, because who doesn't love crowded buses?
Just loved the feeling of wrestling other tourists on the bus, definitely didn't miss the last train trying to get back. So much fun.

The room was clean and tidy with a typical Japanese style that you see in movies. We had access to a communal kitchen and washing machine, as well as a seating area to try the Japanese 'sake'. The hostel owner was super helpful and friendly, answering all our questions and providing more information. The staff spoke good English and were eager to give recommendations. The kitchen was well-furnished and the room was spacious. Many extras like hairdryers and a selection of teas were provided for free. The hostel itself was small, creating a nice, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere.
Felt like being at home, couldn't complain at all.

We had a wonderful stay at Ayame in Kyoto. Our room was spacious and the futon beds were very comfortable. The traditional Japanese style of the room, with tatami floors and beautiful flower decorations, made us feel right at home. The location was convenient, with easy access to key tourist sites via public transportation. But what really made our stay special was the warm and considerate hospitality of our host, Shogo. He gave us great tips for local restaurants, surprised me with a pre-birthday gift, and even provided us with personalized itinerary plans for our stay. Thank you, Shogo, for making our trip memorable!
Totally recommend this hotel.

The room at Hostel Ayame was cozy and comfortable, making me feel right at home. The shared kitchen was a great bonus, allowing me to cook my own meals and save money. I loved having an ensuite bathroom with a shower in my room, it made my stay hassle-free. As a light sleeper, I appreciated the air-conditioning in the room, ensuring a good night's sleep.
Personally, I didn't enjoy the noise from the neighboring rooms, but that's just my preference.

We had a fantastic stay at Ayame in Kyoto! the large Japanese-style room was perfect for the two of us, and the blackout curtains made for a great night's sleep. the communal area had all the amenities we needed, and the staff were incredibly friendly. They even provided us with umbrellas when it was raining on the day we checked out. Getting around was a breeze, with convenient bus and train options, and it only took us 10 minutes to taxi from the station. the owner, Shogo, was delightful and spoke excellent English. He gave us detailed explanations of our itinerary and made us feel right at home.
No complaints 😊.
